Sibling Doula Services

Loving support for big brothers and sisters during one of life’s biggest changes.

Welcoming a new baby is a major transition—not just for parents, but for siblings too. As a Sibling Doula, I provide gentle, attentive care to older children during labor and birth, so parents can focus fully on the experience knowing their child is safe, supported, and emotionally cared for.

This service is ideal for families with young children who need comfort, routine, and a familiar presence while their parents are away or giving birth at home.

What a Sibling Doula Does:

  • Provides in-home or on-call care during labor and birth

  • Offers age-appropriate explanations and emotional support about what's happening

  • Keeps siblings engaged with play, stories, snacks, and comfort routines

  • Supports transitions—visiting the hospital, meeting the baby, or returning home

  • Maintains routines (meals, naps, bedtime) as closely as possible

  • Keeps in communication with parents throughout the process
